Sunday nights is for Game of Thrones. I forget how good this show is until it starts back up. We also watch Superwhy, Toy Story 3 (over & over), and iCarly (yes, it's the boys' favorite show). We're in the height of baseball season: snack lists, uniforms, gatorade, sunflower seeds, sunscreen, bat bags. Scrambling to and fro. Dinners in the crock pot or drive-thru. Bella loves baseball. The boys are on spring break, and spending lots of quality time with their grandfather. We love sleepovers. Especially when Kaleb spends the night. My kids are growing up. Way too fast. Especially this one. She goes wherever I go. She's my best friend. Forever. We're getting ready for Summer. Planting some new flowers and shrubs. Fertilizing the yard. Hopefully, we'll get the pool open soon. She has to do everything herself. We are potty training. And it's going well. Until she poops on my floor and then steps in it. (And no I didn't take a picture of it; although I definitely thought about it).

I struggled this week. {98/365}: Tuesday, April 8th. Cameron's first black eye. He earned it during batting practice the other night. The ball tipped and came back to hit him in the face. {99/365}: Jackson's homework. His new favorite book is a book about Minecraft that Aunt Jodi and kids got him for his birthday. {100/365}: Love this photo of Kaleb and Josh on the mound. He was giving Kaleb a pep talk. Whatever he said made Kaleb laugh. I love the relationship that these two share. {101/365}: Bella is all about some dressing up. She ends up layering random clothes from her drawers, mismatched socks, and shoes. Such a girl! {102/365}: Looking good after his triple.
Cameron asked me several nights if he could participate in the AHA Jump Rope for Heart that is going on this month at his school. I finally had some time to sit down with him and help him start an account. We set a goal of $50 because if you earn that amount, you get a free t-shirt. By the end of the first night, he had reached his goal. I helped a little by posting a link on Facebook. But, man was he excited. After the first few people donated, he looked at me and said, "Those people are really nice."
To date, he has gained $60. He is pretty excited. And Mommy is pretty proud. Bella loves to set the table. It is a constant battle to get Jackson to do his nightly reading. Most of the time, it's due to our crazy schedule. He says "You need to remind me!" I love that everyday after school, the boys can't wait to get outside to play. Most of the time it's in the driveway with the neighborhood kids, playing basketball. I love that there are so many kids in this neighborhood. It used to be only Chase. But now they are asking to go to Darius (who lives directly behind us) and Malik's (he's a little bit farther away but still bike riding distance). And there's always Jared. Bella is killing me with her incessant chatter. Sometimes it is just too much. And if you don't acknowledge her or answer her right away, she will ask over and over again until you can't stand it any longer. Cameron is a sleep walker. A few times, he has slept walk to the bathroom but didn't make it. Bella likes to put on shoes. Her shoes. Sometimes that is the only thing she puts on. She will get butt naked, put on a pair of boots and her sunglasses, and push her babies around in her stroller.
Talking out loud to myself..."Is that a gray hair?" Cameron hears me. "What?! Does that mean you're getting old? That sucks." Jackson also had a sleepover for his birthday. It's definitely a good way to save money. But I'm so glad they are now both over and done with it. I'm purely exhausted after this last one. Nine 10- and 11-year olds.
Maybe because the boys went non-stop. They played basketball, pop-a-shot, & video games. They had root "beer" and got "drunk". They were loud and stinky (yes, I had to encourage a couple of them to start wearing deodarant). They played nerf guns for over 2 hours until I finally called it and sent them to the room over to get ready for wind down time. A lot of good that did. They stayed up til 3:30 (at least). Lights out and t.v. off and they still kept each other up. Jackson's birthday week. Opening game of baseball. A sleepover with 9 stinky boys. And lots more presents. {90/365}: Monday. March 31. He wants to wear his new Lebron t-shirt to school every Monday. Aunt Jodi is way cool. {91/365}: Tuesday night. Celebrating at 3 Amigos after the first game of baseball season. And our first win. Go Dodgers! {92/365}: We're making baby steps in the potty training process. I'm thinking the Easter bunny will be bringing us some girly panties. {93/365}: Thursday night grocery store run. {94/365}: He's very diligent about his homework. {95/365} : Jackson got to pitch in his second game on Saturday. I was so nervous, but he did really well. And we won again. He pitched two innings, striking out 3 batters the first inning. The other team scored 3 runs on him in the second inning (one of the kids, his friend, Jared, hit a home run on him, bringing in all 3 runs; the next at bat, Jackson had the same exact hit against Jared who was pitching, winning the game). We left and went straight over to Cameron's game (who also won). Then headed home to get ready for Jackson's party. Busy day. {96/365}: One of Jackson's favorite gifts was a motorized scooter. He has asked for one before, but I have always been a little scared of them. Now that he's 10, I figured it was time (even though I'm still a little scared). {97/365}: My mom got Jackson a baseball bat and ball for the swimming pool. Bella loves it, and asks to play baseball every night now. I love her little baseball stance. Typical girl. Always posing.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
