{212/365}: Just another Saturday morning at our house. Where you eat pancakes while wearing your pads. {213/365}: More football. In the street. Kaleb, Jack & Darius. {214/365}: For some reason, Pokemon is back. I just can't get rid of it! It's like a recurring nightmare. He spent all weekend messing with these cards. And then again tonight, as soon as we walked in the door. {215/365}: Looking so grown up in his full gear. He had a bad night. He struggled with his helmet, it was too tight. By the end of night, it was bruised and he was in tears. We got a new helmet the very next night. {216/365}: Someday they will realize how lucky they are to have each other. {217/365}: Bella's birthday. We rode bikes to Sonic. It was a nice night. And she loves bike rides. She was loving all the special attention. {218/365}: Birthday party eve. Sydney spent the night and helped us make cupcakes. {219/3654}: Mommy and her baby girl. Can't believe she's 3. And so beautiful.

It started off just like any other Thursday morning; although she loved when we sang happy birthday to her in bed. That evening, the 5 of us took a bike ride to Sonic and sat outside and had dinner. Bella was eating up every ounce of attention and absolutely loving it. I forget that even though she's the baby, and the only girl, she's also the third child and has to really fight for our attention at times. She knew it was her birthday, her very special day. She even got her very own slushie. For her birthday, we got her a LeapPad. She freaked out when she opened it, ("Oh.my.god!"). I wasn't sure if she even knew what it was until she said "It's a D.S.!" Well, kind of. She absolutely loved it and played it the rest of the night.
The very next morning, she came into my room and woke me up by tapping me on the arm. "Can I play my d.s.?" were the first words out of her Week 3 of football. Jackson's first injury tonight. Nice huge knot. Walking to the car after practice, he was struggling to fight back the tears. I let him take a nice warm bath and iced his arm. By the end of the night, he was practicing tackling moves with his brother, and watching football videos on defensive end moves. He says he's "not scared of getting hit. It just hurts. " All of a sudden, this boy is growing up. (Lump in throat). This photo was taken by Syd at one of the boys' practices. I rarely can get a picture of this kid these days. He hates when I point my camera at him and will usually run or look away. Or give me the evil eye. Thankful for this picture showing his sweet face (he can be sweet sometimes - see??!!) Birthday party weekend. Dinner at Wing King to visit Jordan. She is so pretty. And 3 might be my favorite age. So far.
This is overdue but needed to get my blog up for our camping trip we took Memorial Day weekend. Our favorite camping spot is in Frisco, North Carolina, on Hatteras Island in the Outer Banks. Frisco Woods Campground. We've been going the past few years. We hadn't gone since Isabella had been born, so we were all excited to get back. We went with friends and my sister and her kiddos. This time we drug along Tammy and her boys as well (and literally had to drag her). I think she had a good time, but I'm not so sure she'll ever want to go again. We also brought along Sydney's friend, Joshua, who fit right in with our silly bunch. As usual, we spent the first night setting up camp and relaxing.
We stayed in our favorite sites right on the sound so the kids could have free reign, and we could enjoy the sunset from our chairs while sipping on some cold beverages. {208/365}: No fear, this kid. You're probably wondering about the 8 foot snake we saw on the beach. It was actually someone's pet. People are weird. But the kids did think it was pretty cool. {208/365}: Back to reality. And the first night of conditioning. {209/365}: Sydney took this while at the park with the rest of the siblings during practice. I just love it. {210/365}: Football every night this week. It's wearing us all out. {211/365}: She's learned a new pose. Girls. I just can't get enough of her. {212/365}: Been waiting all week for this. Things just got real.
They practiced with their helmets on tonight. Proud of these boys. Real troopers. And still lovin it. I'm so way behind. And I slipped up a few times the past two weeks. I'm writing this on Aug 4 of week 32. {201-202/365}: I missed two days this week (Sunday & Monday). I had no kids for a couple of days. It wasreally quiet. And lonely. Josh was gone, too. So, I had nothing/no one to take pictures of. And I forgot. {203/365}: She's home! She really enjoyed having me and Josh all to herself. {203/365}: We've conquered this potty training deal. It was like it happened overnight. All panties during the day, pull ups at night. No accidents. It feels good to be diaper-free. For once and for all. {204/365}: It's like she aged a year in the few short days we were apart. I can't get over it. It makes me so sad. {205/365}: Finally. The whole gang's together again. Josh and I drove down to Hatteras with Bella to spend the weekend and bring home our boys. They were actually happy to see us. We played a lot of foosball the first night. The boys couldn't wait to have a tournament. {206/365}: Siblings on the beach. We had a great day.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
