Today was bittersweet.
We had our first Cannons games since we lost our beloved Coach Sam this past Friday, April 10th. The Cannons won both games. They played their hearts out. Almost like they had a little help from above. And then the other team wore their Samstrong shirts to show support for Blake and his family. I can't imagine how that made Blake and Kelly feel today. There's just something about our team. I could never quite put my finger on why I love this group of boys so much, why I want so badly for them to get to play together, grow up together, for as long as they can. Until today. I realized that we have become a family. And I think we owe that to our coaches. In particular, Coach Sam. Our love and respect for him and his family has always been there, in our hearts. And it will stay there forever. He has had such an impact not only on the boys, but also on their parents and families. Today, we played for Coach Sam and Blake. And today, we won big. Because we have an angel for a Coach. We will never stop playing for you, Coach Sam. On three...One, two, three...Coach SAM!

SO touching! Our lives were touched by Sam, too, when our grandson, Sammy, also journeyed through cancer. What an inspiration! And he continues to inspire us from above. We will always keep Sam and his family in our hearts and prayers.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
