Her first day of preschool. She didn't cry. I was surprised. But relieved. I made Daddy drop her off. I thought she would cry, and I knew I couldn't handle it. Even though she's my third. She's my baby. And my girl. But she did great; and she was so cute when I picked her up. She didn't stop talking the whole way home. She told me she had mac and cheese for lunch, with "green things that were s'gusting [disgusting]" and "the other girls liked them but they were s'gusting". And she also said she tried to write her name on her testis (tests). First day of middle school. He got to sleep in. I still can't believe it. I didn't cry. I'm not worried about this one. He's been this way since kindergarten. He's got it all under control. He was more worried that he wouldn't have any friends in his class. I remember that feeling. He picked out his outfit. His favorite color is pink. He asked Dad to fix his hair. He came into my room at 1:00 in the morning the night before because he couldn't sleep. I remember that feeling, too. I scratched his back until he dozed off. I was worried that he would be tired the next morning. He was ready. When Daddy followed him in the car to the bus stop, he told him to "just go, Dad". He wanted to make sure he had deodorant to keep in his backpack. Third grade, his first time going to school without his big brother. We (me, Josh & Bella) walked him to the bus stop. He didn't care that she was still in her jammies. He didn't care that I had my camera. He may have been nervous, but he didn't show it. He even kissed me at the bus stop.
We had gone shopping the weekend prior for his first day outfit. I found a sweet pair of shorts, but he wouldn't wear them because they were Kobe. He only likes Lebron. True fan. He's so excited that his new shoes are a size 7.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
