Friday night, we hosted our first fundraiser event for Cameron's travel team, the Cannons.
Josh worked really hard in organizing this night, along with one of the other team moms. The Wounded Warriors were in town so we held a softball exhibition against local celebrity softball players. We had a pretty good turnout, considering the weather was terrible. It rained most of the night, complete with lightning and lots of wind.
The little kids had a race and won prizes for the fastest times. We had raffles and music and bbq that Josh had arranged to be donated. It was a great idea, and Josh did a great job putting everything together. I was very proud of him.
The Wounded Warriors were amazing. Some of the guys were double amputees. One of the players had even lost his left arm and was able to swing the bat (and hard) using only his right arm. Such amazing strength, inside and out.
My name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
