I know this sounds cliché, but this year really flew by. I remember thinking our summer vacation seemed forever away; then, all of a sudden it was August and we were rushed into planning and packing for a week long stay at the beach all the while finishing up baseball, birthday parties and just trying to get some family time in the pool that we had neglected before Summer had passed us by. I just finished putting together my 2014 family album. It's fun to look back through all the pictures over the year and remember stories and memories, that without my pictures, could easily have been forgotten. Like the night I took Cam to the E.R. after Bella threw a remote control at his head, and I thought he needed stiches. I was there for nearly 4 hours for them to slap a butterfly on it and send us back home. Or how much she loved Easter egg hunting..... ...and One Direction. Or the science project we worked on together. And then I got to watch him give the presentation to his fourth grade classmates. How much he dreamed of being like Lebron (and how much he wore this jersey). And how she used to fear the ocean. How hard it is to get a family picture when your kids are little. And your dork mom and neice have to photo bomb. How all the neighborhood kids loved to come over to our house. And how they all treated Bella like their little sister. I could go on and on, but that is what the pictures, and the albums, are for. All those little things I won't forget.
2014 was a good year. Looking forward to 2015 and all the possibilities a new year brings. This year, Jackson will start middle school (yikes) and Bella will start preschool. My niece will get her learner's permit. There are some changes taking place at my job that could be a good thing or a bad thing, only time will tell. And maybe, just maybe, I might take this photography thing to the next level. Possibilities....

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
