School closed early in anticipation of the snow. It started to snow early, and Jackson thought it would be cool to play basketball in the snow. You can see the snow flurries in this one. (He doesn't like me taking pictures and was trying to hide his face). There's something exciting about the anticipation of the first upcoming snow storm of the year. They were predicting > 10 inches. We got close to 13!! The worst part was that the temperature remained in the teen's for days turning the ice to snow and closing schools for one week! The kids spent a lot of time outdoors, despite the frigid temps. They loved it. Cam even spent hours helping Josh shovel the driveway. They even cleared a path for Jackson so he could still work on his shot. Except the bottom of the net had frozen the ball kept getting stuck. Of course, it also meant lots of time indoors together. We had friends over. Played spades. Made lots of soup. Luckily, with our new vehicle, we were able to venture out a few times. We even made it to Three Amigos one night. Even got to go visit our newest family member who was born during all this crazy mess. Meet Miss Elliott. Bella is smitten, for sure. She's already asking when we can babysit her at our house. As I write this, we have already missed 4 days of school and just received the call that schools will be closed tomorrow. Today, we took Jordan to the airport so he could head back to Colorado. We had a great visit and can't wait until May when he can return.

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
