{275/365}: 2 home runs for this kid. He was feeling pretty good. {276/365}: I can't get into Fall until I get my mums and scarecrows out. And pumpkins. I do love my front porch in the Fall. {277/365}: Random things around my house. Yes, that's a One Direction doll. Girl loves her some Harry. {280/365}: Friday night girls night out. Saying goodbye to a long-time co-worker. {281/365}: Cutie booty. First tournament in Yorktown.

Bella: Every morning you take off your pull up and jammies and dress yourself. Often in very inappropriate outfits. Lately, you've even been sporting a bathing suit around the house. It's October. You like to sit at your table and eat, even though we tell you you're not allowed. ou love that table. And you don't listen very well. Instead of she, you say "her". You are obsessed with Laurie Berkner and One Direction. You watch their videos on YouTube over and over. And then walk around the house singing with the songs stuck in your head. Your babies' names are "Banga" and "Lucas". Seriously, I have no idea where Banga comes from. But she gets in trouble a lot. Whenever we lay down together, you scoot as close to me as you can get. It's like we have to be touching in order for you to fall asleep. As uncomfortable as it is, I love it. You love to ride your scooter. Especially during football practice. You hang with all the big kids. You still have to wear a pull up to bed. But you never have accidents in your panties during the day. We've gotten really good at peeing in the parking lot at football practice. I refuse to let you use a port-a-potty. Cameron: You like to ride your scooter or your bike around the block. When you talk to Bella, you talk in a baby voice. And you call her "Belya". Sometimes you play "tackle football" with her, which she loves but Mommy doesn't. You've been getting in trouble in school lately for not staying on task and distracting your classmates. I'm not surprised. I try not to stress about it as your parent; I still have my report cards when I was your age and I was always in trouble for talking too much. Your grades, however, are always good. We're working on your behavior. Your favorite show is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You hate to read at night. You still ask every night to sleep in Mommy's bed. Jackson: You are really enjoying football. I have to admit, I was surprised. It's toughened you up a lot, too. You're covered in bruises and scratches. Your favorite thing to do is play football in the street with Chase and Darius. They are your best friends. You just went to Darius' birthday party last night. You're recovering from strep throat from last weekend. You had a fever on Sunday and then later in the week developed a rash. You've lost your lunch box 3 times already this year. We have yet to find it this last time. Your first progress report was all As and one B-. You like to tell jokes and make up raps. You sleep with your radio on and wake up to your own alarm. You're often up and dressed for school before Daddy & I make it downstairs. The weather is changing. I don't mind the cooler weather. I'm going to miss the pool. The boys actually were in it this past Sunday for a little bit. I imagine that will be the last time.

This weekend was full. Full of sports. Full of rushing around. Full of friends, family, parties, birthdays and more. It was a perfect weekend. I even got to take a nap. Friday night, I went to a 31/Origami Owl party to benefit the Kempsville 8U Cannons. It was just us moms and a few friends. Wine, snacks, and shopping. Saturday, Jackson had an early football game. It was an exciting game. He played a lot and even got two sacks (which is just what his confidence needed). We won at the very end, and Jackson sacked the quarterback on the very last play resulting in an interception. (And of course, this was the game I decided to leave my camera at home.) The boys spent the rest of the afternoon in the street playing football. They even got in the pool. Yes, our pool is still open. I laid down with Bella and took a glorious 3 hour nap. Sunday was full of baseball. It was also Mark's birthday so it was very appropriate that we spent the day at the baseball fields. The Cannons won both games. Cameron hit two home runs. I was one proud momma, and I know it made Mark's day even better. We celebrated with pizza and beer at the park after the games with all of our baseball parents. We might of even toasted to the Cannons with Fireball shots. The kids presented Coach Mark with a "You're Killing Me Smalls" t-shirt. Best,gift.ever. for this this man who is really hard to buy for. If you're wondering where Jack is, he was home sick (turned out to be strep). {268/365}: Cannons double header at SCAA. Our rivals. We lost 5-6. I blame the bees. {269/365}: Cousin Rob brought baby Ollie over for dinner. He loved Cam. They usually do. Bella loved him. Josh had to remind her "He's a real person, Bella." {270/365} My view most nights. {271/365}: Date night. Josh & I went to see Amos Lee in concert. {272/365}: My view most mornings as I leave for work. {273 / 365 } : She loves her footy jammies. {274 / 365 } : After football, more football in the street. Jackson makes up his own plays.
A lot of pics from the phone this week. Just wasn't feeling like breaking out the camera very much these days. Been feeling a little sluggish and very lazy. {261/365}: If you can't beat em, join em. Adapting to Fall. There are some things I like about Fall. Including soup in the crockpot. {262/365}: This keeps her occupied these days. Josh's old phone. YouTube videos of Laurie Berkner and One Direction. And Dumb Ways to Die. {263/365}: They insist on crowding on the couch next to me. Sometimes it drives me insane. Most times, I think it's pretty sweet. P.S.: Not sure what Bella is doing here. {264/365}: I'm just getting my own drink. Geesh, Mom. {265/365}: The coffee pot actually makes coffee. Who knew. {266/365}: Friday Night Cannons practice. {267/365}: Jack helping out his buddy on the sidelines.
That's where he spent most of the game. Do I sound bitter? Let's just say I didn't take as many pictures. It didn't help that we got crushed. After the game he tells me, "I really need to work on getting around the block." Poor kid. I am so proud of his perseverance. I never imagined he would enjoy football this much. |

AuthorMy name is Kaci. I am a working mom of 3. Wife to Josh. Mom to Jackson, Cameron & Isabella. My life is dinner, homework, baseball, basketball, grocery lists, laundry, middle school, wine, video games, and schedules. I started this blog because I love taking pictures, and I needed a place to document our life. I wanted a place to write it all down, to remember little details so easily forgotten in the mad rush that is the life of a family of 5. Through my photos and words, I endeavor to capture our story.
